Choosing between the couriers in Lithuania is mostly a choice between parcel locker networks. The country had 2,194 parcel lockers at the end of 2025, and more than 65% of parcels are collected from one. Four companies (DPD, Omniva, Lietuvos Paštas and Venipak) handled more than 80% of the country's 59.6 million parcels in 2024. Get the mix right and you offer fast, cheap delivery anywhere in the country. Get it wrong and you pay for failed deliveries and returned parcels.

Lithuania's courier market is small, competitive and heavily locker-based. The Communications Regulatory Authority (RRT) reports that parcel volume reached 59.6 million in 2024, up from 53 million the year before, and that self-service parcel terminals grew from 1,787 to 2,070. By the end of 2025 there were 2,194 lockers, and more than 65% of parcels were collected from them. The 2024 figures below are the latest operator-level data RRT has published. The list starts with the national post and then follows the market: domestic parcel courier networks first, then international express carriers, then on-demand city couriers. Whether you need an LP EXPRESS courier, a DPD courier or an Omniva courier, each entry covers what the service is best for.
Lietuvos Paštas, the Lithuanian Post, runs 163 post offices and about 1,500 LP EXPRESS and Unisend lockers across Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, 522 of them in Lithuania by mid-2026. It handles around 33 million parcels a year and exchanges parcels with nearly 200 countries. Almost 96% of LP EXPRESS parcels reached recipients the next business day in the first five months of 2026, LP EXPRESS also delivers on Saturdays, and its lockers take parcels up to 30 kg. It also holds the universal postal service obligation until the end of 2026. DPD carried the largest share of Lithuanian parcels in 2024. Its Pickup locker network counts about 1,000 lockers across the Baltics, stores parcels for 5 days, and insures parcels within the Baltics up to €520. Omniva, the Estonian state logistics group, had the largest locker network in Lithuania in 2024 (545 terminals) and delivered 15.7 million Lithuanian parcels in 2025. Its Kaunas logistics centre, opened in 2024, sorts up to 12,000 parcels an hour. Since July 2025 it has been Zalando's exclusive last-mile partner in the Baltics. Omniva runs lockers and couriers in all three Baltic states, which helps if you also sell to Latvia and Estonia.
Venipak started in Lithuania about 20 years ago and now has over 1,000 locker and pickup locations across the Baltics. It says about 98% of parcels arrive the next working day, and offers cash on delivery plus Saturday home delivery in six major cities on request. In July 2026 DHL agreed to buy Venipak, and Lithuania's competition authority approved the deal in October 2026. Venipak keeps its brand during the integration. Smartpost Itella became Smartposti in March 2025, taking the brand of its Finnish parent, Posti Group. It had 300 lockers and pickup points in Lithuania at the time of the rebrand, and more than 4,100 across the Baltics and Finland. Because of the name changes, shoppers may know it as Smartposti, Smartpost or Posti.
DHL's volume share is small, but it ranks fourth by parcel revenue, which reflects its focus on international express. It began building a distribution centre at Vilnius Airport in late 2021, designed to sort more than 3,600 parcels an hour, and its planned purchase of Venipak would add a large Baltic locker network. Choose DHL for urgent B2B and cross-border shipments rather than cheap domestic delivery.
FedEx opened a new sorting facility in Vilnius in February 2025 and runs daily flights from Kaunas to Paris. Its International Connect Plus service, launched in Lithuania in 2022, is built for e-commerce shipments to more than 195 countries and territories.
UPS works in Lithuania through its authorised service contractor Skubios siuntos, which has represented UPS since 1991. In 2017 UPS launched a direct flight from Kaunas to its Cologne air hub, which let exporters book collections as late as 20:00. Compare it with DHL and FedEx for international exports.
Wolt is known for food, but almost 4,000 Lithuanian businesses work with it, and Wolt says 54% of its merchants are not restaurants. Its Wolt Drive API lets online stores use Wolt as a last-mile carrier, with ASAP deliveries targeting under one hour. Check availability in your city with Wolt's local team before you plan around it.
Bolt lists Bolt Send for fast deliveries in Vilnius, and in Lithuania it runs Bolt Market, which aims to bring groceries from store shelf to door in about 30 minutes. It is not a parcel network, so treat it as a backup for urgent same-city orders.

The right mix depends on where your parcels go. Most merchants fit one of these two profiles:
Lockers matter most. Pair two locker networks, such as LP EXPRESS and DPD or Omniva, so most shoppers find a terminal near home. Add Venipak if you need delivery time slots or cash on delivery.
Keep one domestic locker carrier and add an express carrier (DHL, FedEx or UPS) for cross-border orders. Lietuvos Paštas also sends from lockers to 237 international destinations for lighter, less urgent parcels.
A carrier's full service list and what you can book through software are not always the same. Lietuvos pašto kainos (Lithuanian Post prices) are a common search for anyone shipping in Lithuania. These are LP EXPRESS contract rates for domestic locker shipments, excluding VAT, as published on post.lt:

Insurance up to €500 is included, and cash on delivery to a locker costs 1.5% of the amount collected. A 15% wage surcharge applies to main delivery services in 2026, so check the latest rates before you set shipping prices.
Locker-to-locker is the cheapest LP EXPRESS route, and contract discounts start at 51 parcels a month. If you send more than that, ask for a tailored offer before you compare couriers on list price alone.

Lietuvos Paštas is the national postal company. LP EXPRESS is its parcel locker and courier brand in Lithuania, which operates as Unisend in Latvia and Estonia.
